Atlantic Pumps are delighted to announce a partnership with design engineers at The University of Sheffield’s Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) to improve specific elements of pump design.
This exciting development allows us to benefit from a wealth of top level engineering experience and knowledge as we seek to take our ideas forward and execute on customer feedback.
The AMRC works with many of the world’s leading manufacturing and engineering organisations. The organisation is made up of specialist experts in machining, casting, welding, additive manufacturing, composites, design, testing and training and has developed a global reputation for helping companies overcome manufacturing problems. In doing so they have become a model for collaborative research involving universities, academics and industry, worldwide. The AMRC is a member of the High Value Manufacturing Catapult, a consortium of seven leading manufacturing and process research centres, backed by the UK’s innovation agency, Innovate UK.
‘We are very enthusiastic about the partnership with AMRC, chiefly because it enables us to address specific application issues within the UK’ said Atlantic Pumps Director, Brad Dormer. ‘We can take a UK specific product concept through testing stages and to market instead of adapting existing technologies to the UK market’.
We look forward to bringing our customers the benefits of this partnership over the coming months.
