Atlantic Pump Apprentice Shortlisted For Apprentice Awards

Atlantic Pumps are delighted to announce that Evan Biggin has been shortlisted for the Sheffield City Region Apprenticeship Awards 2021.

Evan, who studied at the AMRC Training Centre in Yorkshire initially undertook an intensive 6-month programme of training which took in mechanical fault finding, electrical fault finding, hydraulic and pneumatic fault finding and hand fitting technics. He then joined Atlantic and continued his apprenticeship while on day release from the AMRC Training Centre.

He was awarded a double grade distinction distinction in his BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Engineering (QCF) in 2020 and has become a key member of the Operations team.

Evan is very knowledgeable, dedicated to the job and well-liked by all. Huge congratulations on being shortlisted, Evan!

For Atlantic, Evan being short-listing is recognition of the company’s Apprenticeship program.

Atlantic Pumps have an ongoing commitment to employing young people in the industry and investing in the next generation of British engineering.

The company are proud that the team includes a number of staff who have joined as apprentices and developed their skills in-house, alongside their college education.

Atlantic Pumps will be adding further apprentices to the team later this year and in the years ahead.
