Atlantic pumps in the community

Rapid Relief Team (RRT) UK

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) delivers hope and relief to people across the globe. Whether it be fire, flood or humanitarian need, RRT expands their support services to meet the crisis at hand.

Established by the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church (PBCC) in 2013, RRT offers quality catering assistance and tangible support to charities, government and emergency services confronting some of humankind’s greatest challenges.

Led by the Christian principles of care and compassion, RRT’s army of volunteers operate from the heart across the globe, and lend a helping hand to people in Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom, North and South America, the Caribbean, Canada and across Europe.

Atlantic Pumps are delighted to support the work of the RRT and have donated to the organisation. Learn more here.

The Cystic Fibrosis Trust

As part of our Community involvement we’ve recently made a donation to The Cystic Fibrosis Trust and plan to support their work as a charity going forward. This was an easy decision for two reasons.

Firstly, our well known and well-loved Operations Team Leader, Ed Smith, has recently had a little daughter affected by the condition. Secondly, they are a fantastic charity, dedicated to fighting for a life unlimited by cystic fibrosis and making great strides through their dedication.

Find out more about them and the work they do by visiting their website.

The Brain Tumour Charity

Atlantic Pumps are delighted to support The Brain Tumour Charity.

The organisation is the world’s leading brain tumour charity and the largest dedicated funder of research into brain tumours globally. The Brain Tumour Charity relies entirely on voluntary donations.

A close family member of one of our staff has been successfully treated for a brain tumour and we have made a contribution to the charity as a token of thanks for all they are doing.

The Brain Tumour Charity fund pioneering research to increase survival and improve treatment options and raise awareness of the symptoms and effects of brain tumours to get earlier diagnosis and to help families cope with everything that the diagnosis of a brain tumour brings. They also provide support for everyone affected so that they can live as full a life as possible, with the best quality of life.

The Charity funds and promotes the UK-wide HeadSmart campaign, raising awareness of the signs and symptoms of brain tumours in children and young people to make earlier diagnosis a reality. Earlier diagnosis will reduce long term disabilities and save lives. In just three years, HeadSmart has reduced average diagnosis time from 9.1 weeks to 6.5 weeks.

You can find out more about the great work that the charity does, plus learn about the signs and symptoms of tumours, diagnosis, treatment and more by visiting them here
