CAD Technician - Sheffield, UK

Atlantic Pumps is a pump manufacturing business based in Sheffield. We focus on supplying pumps for abrasive applications and specialise in the Quarrying and Recycling markets. We are a dynamic and energetic team, always challenging the boundaries and rapidly growing. Our primary consideration is always how we can improve customer experience and this drives all our innovation. 

 

We are investing heavily in apprentices and firmly believe in developing young people. There is a huge amount of scope for everyone to grow with our company. 

 

 

Job Summary:

 

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in engineering and basic training in CAD design. You will be working in a busy and friendly work environment. The suitable candidate will assist the senior draughtsman in meeting the demand for drawings and job cards in line with increased production from the factory. Training will be given to suitable applicant.

 

Hours: 

 

Standard hours are Monday to Friday from 07.30am to 4.30pm with a lunch break.

Job Role and Responsibilities:

 

  • To produce suitable pump drawings 
  • Assist with production of drawings for projects
  • Support with development of base and guard design
  • To liaise with production staff

The successful applicant must be able to demonstrate:

 

  • Some experience of working with Solidworks or similar
  • An interest in engineering 
  • Must be computer literate
  • An understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Knowledge of Excel would be beneficial

Internal Maintenance Engineer – Sheffield, UK

As a knowledgeable and reliable member of the team you will play a vital role in the continued development of our rapidly growing business, a business heavily reliant on exceptional levels of customer service. You will be responsible to carry out tasks in a timely and accurate manner, with attention to detail and an exceptional quality of workmanship. It will involve hard work and we will look for you to go the extra mile when needed. As a team we look out for each other and, as such, hold each other to the highest standards. You must not be put off by this type of environment and you will be expected to develop a large degree of responsibility over time.  

 

This role revolves around good engineering knowledge, problem solving and a ‘Can do’ attitude. Specific duties including…

 

  • Servicing slurry and dewatering pumps
  • Diagnostics and problem solving
  • Understanding of diesel engines
  • Basic electric knowledge and willingness to learn
  • Welding and fabrication

External Service Engineer - Sheffield, UK

As the face of Atlantic Pumps on customer’s sites, you will play a vital role in the continued development of our rapidly growing business, a business heavily reliant on exceptional levels of customer service. You will be responsible to visit quarries and plants within our key markets to fulfil scheduled service work, breakdowns and installations of new pumps.

 

These visits could be anywhere in the United Kingdom and Ireland. You will carry a large degree of responsibility on site, including ensuring all work is carried out to a high level of Health & Safety compliance. It will involve some days with long hours and could also include overnight stays for some jobs and locations. You will also be expected to carry out internal work as needed, from our Head Office base in Sheffield.

  • Diagnostics and problem solving
  • Understanding of diesel engines
